Young
Adult & Campus Ministry
Young adults (roughly ages 18 - 35) are a growing force in Unitarian
Universalism. Whether you are looking to promote the spiritual
growth of young adults in your congregation or on your campus or
simply want to find out what other young adult UU's are up to, here
are some resources to check out:
http://connectuu.com Calling itself the "Online Directory of
Unitarian Universalist Young Adults," this website includes information
on young adult groups, events, people and mailing lists.

Please join the staff and Board of Trustees of
the
St. Lawrence District in welcoming
Elayne Mosher as our new
YOUNG ADULT-CAMPUS MINISTRY CONSULTANT!
The St. Lawrence District Board has regretfully
accepted Robbie Brydon’s resignation from the position of Young
Adult-Campus Ministry Consultant, effective May 1, 2008. Robbie has
done a wonderful job for the district since August of 2007, beginning
the process of developing and strengthening programming for young adults
and college students, and of building a network of communication among
its leaders. We on the district staff look forward to working with
Elayne Mosher, to continue the work Robbie has begun and to fulfill the
vision we all hold for this ministry.
Elayne is a member of the Unitarian Universalist
Society of Oneonta, where she has served on the Board of Trustees, on
the Social Action Network, and as a Youth Advisor and Coming of Age
mentor. She has attended EAGLES (our district leadership school), and
is Vice President of the St. Lawrence Theological Foundation. She has
been involved in congregational Young Adult activities in Oneonta since
2003. Professionally, she has worked since 2002 for Springbrook in
Milford, NY as their Home and Community Based Services Coordinator for
at-home services provided to individuals with developmental
disabilities.
Elayne brings a wealth of leadership and
organizational skills to the position, both from her UU experiences and
from her professional life. Almost more importantly, she is passionate
about Unitarian Universalism, and about building community and
meaningful programming for our young adults. The district’s leadership
hopes you will join us in welcoming Elayne, and that you will take
advantage of all that she has to offer.
Please send contact information for your future or
existing campus ministry and/or young adult groups to her after May 1st,
or call with questions or just to say hello at
stlawrence.doc@gmail.com or 607-431-2345.
