Congregational
Growth &
Development
The St. Lawrence District's mission is to serve, connect and
grow new and existing Unitarian Universalist congregations.
Therefore, everything we do relates to congregational growth and
development.
We are committed to:
• Improving our congregations' health and capacity
through many means,
• Helping our congregations fulfill their hopes
and dreams, and
• Growing Unitarian Universalism by increasing the number of vital,
healthy, growing congregations actively connected in community and in
service to one another and the wider world through our District and the
Unitarian Universalist movement.
We
encourage you to explore the many resources and links offered on this website.
SLD
Staff, Consultants and Coordinators
These are folks with knowledge on specific topics
of interest to UU congregations. Their names and contact information are
shown in the charts on the
District
Contacts & Connections page. Please share your questions, concerns
and suggestions with them.
Leadership Development Workshops
The St. Lawrence District sponsors or co-sponsors
training sessions on a wide variety of topics throughout the year. These
are frequently Saturday sessions hosted by one of our
congregations. Other training sessions can run from two days to a week.
District Assembly
Every April, UUs from every corner of the St.
Lawrence District enjoy gathering for District Assembly. This Friday
evening/all day Saturday get-together combines training, inspiration,
celebration, and a brief business meeting, and a Bridging Ceremony for
senior youth.
Go to our
District Assembly page for details and
copies of handouts from the most recent event.
